The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of the Riles is a 2011 Filipino comedy film starring Melai Cantiveros as Pureza. The film is co-produced by SineScreen and released by Star Cinema.

The story revolves with Pura, (Melai) who plays the comedic role of a bubbly, caring, kind-hearted, very hardworking;dakilang ate; who wants nothing but only the best for her one and only beloved brother, Ulam, and uplift their dismal life. In all her endeavors, Pura's best friend, Ruben (Jason Francisco), has always been by her side. Pura and Ruben then stumbles into a one-time big time opportunity to usher a Brazilian model who manages to escape them. With this unfortunate turn of event, Pura steps into the role &help; literally. She is now the model Pureza Mayriles! Basking in the promise of a better fortune plus a serendipitous love, little did Pura know that she has dragged herself into a life-threatening mess. Now running for their lives, Pura and Ruben has to detangle themselves from the dangers that faces them.

Sam Milby admits it was harder to do a movie with close friend KC Concepcion

During the promo pictorial for the upcoming Star Cinema romance drama Forever and a Day, Sam Milby admitted that unlike his previous films, he considers it a bigger challenge to work and be paired with someone whom he considers as one of his best friends off-screen. Sam and KC Concepcion immediately hit it off as friends because of their shared love for outdoor activities especially motocross. “Medyo natakot ako nung nalaman ko na may movie kami ni KC. Kasi siyempre minsan mas madali sa iyo kapag kilala ninyo ang isa’t isa ‘di ba? Mas magiging kampante kayo sa isa’t isa. But at the same time it’s still work kaya hindi ko alam kung mahihirapan kami sa pagiging professional kasi minsan mag-jo-joke kami kasi magkakilala na kami. But it’s working out naman,” he said.

The Fil-Am actor admitted he enjoyed shooting Forever and a Day because it also took him to different provinces like Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, and Lanao del Norte. The 26-year-old heartthrob admitted he and KC also enjoyed doing their own stunts while making the film even though director Cathy Garcia-Molina had given them the choice to have a stunt double. But Sam said that he was able to give KC the much-needed support that enabled her to go through with some of the stunts. “Sa rapids kasi tapos pati sa zipline medyo mataas yung lugar. Pero nagawa niya. No doubles. Okay naman sa akin yung ganito, na kami talaga yung gumawa. Gusto kong gawin yun eh. I enjoy that, yung mga nakaka-adrenaline rush but si KC hindi ko alam (laughs). Natatawa ako sa kanya nun. Takot na takot siya. Yung obstacle course medyo mataas actually,” he recalled.

Although he is still hesitant to divulge any specific details about the film since they are still in the process of wrapping it up, Sam said fans can look forward to another compelling story of two people who are willing to go through a lot of sacrifices just for the sake of love. “When I read the script ang ganda. It’s very nakakaiyak. Kilig din,” he offered. Sam also wouldn’t disclose just how intimate his scenes are with good friend KC. “Abangan niyo na lang (laughs). Pero as of now, actually wala pa kaming na-shu-shoot na kissing scene,” he revealed.

Aminado ang dalawang malaking artista na hindi biro ang pinagdaanan nilang hirap sa pag-shoot ng kanilang movie para siguraduhing maganda ang kalalabasan nito.

“We didn’t realize, I didn’t realize that it’s gonna be this hard,” pag-amin ni Aga. “Ngayon lang ako gumawa ng pelikula na talagang mahirap, ang hirap talaga.” Ayon pa sa dalawa, kailangan nilang sumayaw para sa pelikula na hindi naman talaga nila ginagawa. “Hindi po talaga ako marunong sumayaw, hindi talaga,” pagbabahagi ni Angel sa panayam niya sa The Buzz. “Nung binasa ko ‘yung script halos lahat ng ayaw kong gawin, (na) ‘di ako comfortable gawin, kailangan kong gawin sa pelikulang ito. Ganun siya kahirap for me.” Umaasa na lang daw ang aktres na sana ay nagawa niya nang mabuti ang ipinagawa sa kanya. Dagdag naman ni Aga, “Kailangan pa naming i-rehearse ‘yung mga sayaw, kailangang mag-rehearse (ng) mga sayaw na napakahirap na hindi talaga namin ginagawa sa buhay namin.” Mahirap din daw na habang sumasayaw ay kailangang mag-project pa ng emosyon.

Kapwa naman inamin ng dalawa na karangalan ang makatrabaho nila ang isat-isa lalo na si Angel na inaming pinangarap niya noong bata na makatrabaho si Aga.

Grace (Cristine Reyes) and Ronnie (Carlo Aquino) are a newly wed couple who inherit a condominium unit from Ronnie’s deceased father. As they move into the unit, they are faced with a series of mishaps and misfortunes.

The unit is inhabited by strange tenants. Grace starts to experience haunting, sightings, to the extent of incubus. Later in their stay, they find out that they are expecting a baby and are thrilled with the answered prayer.

As Grace starts to pursue the occurences in the building, she discovers that the building was built on a “TUMBOK,” a convergence of three roads which is believed to be unlucky. Tragic deaths happen caused by Mark, the building caretaker who turns out to be the devil trapping souls into the vortex. He is also the incubus that makes love to Grace.

Can Grace and Ronnie save themselves from the impending danger brought about by the “Tumbok?” What mysery lies in the past that haunts our lead characters?

Fourteen years ago, Vic starred in the Star Cinema film Biyudo Si Daddy, Biyudo Si Mommy (1997), which was co-produced by Vic's M-Zet Productions. This time, the two companies once again collaborate for this romantic comedy directed by Tony Reyes.

According to Star Ad prom director Roxy Liguigan, Vic Sotto has always been open to doing a movie with Star Cinema. This deal finally pushed through this 2011 despite changes in the original lineup. Toni Gonzaga was supposed to play the leading lady of Vic but she became busy hosting ABS-CBN's noontime variety show Happy Yipee Yehey. Bea was then personally chosen by Vic to become his leading lady in the movie.

Vic is known for starring in top-grossing films, especially those produced during the Metro Manila Film Festival while Bea was crowned as Box-Office Queen for the 2007 movie One More Chance.

Director Tony Reyes praised the Kapamilya stars for their work attitude while doing this movie. "Alam niyo po masaya akong nakatrabaho sina Bea, Pokwang, Zaijian at si Xyriel na pare-parehong mga professional at handa parati sa set."

Robin is very proud with what they’ve accomplished during filming “Tum.” He wants to include all the scenes that they’ve filmed, if possible, because it shows the rich culture of India.

“Maipagmamalaki namin na lahat po ‘yan India, lahat po ng extra namin nasa India, ang mga kasama po namin d’yan mga Indian actors at ang mga kalaban po natin d’yan mga Indian stunt man,” he said.

Produced by Star Cinema, “Tum: My Pledge of Love” is written and directed by Robin himself and will be coming out very soon in theaters nationwide.

Together with Angelica Panganiban’s character, Vhong seeks ways to make things right – but will they?
